This photo was taken in Yellowstone National Park in 2018. The bison are pretty impressive to see up close or as close as one would want to get to them. One of the most surprising things I learned about them is that even though they weigh close to a ton, they can jump up to 6 feet vertically.

This photo was taken at one of my favorite North Carolina beaches, Oak Island. We were on a small boat with some friends in the Intracoastal waterway and this ended up being a tricky shot, trying to steady the camera enough while the boat and the bird were moving.
